Sports Alive Rules of WageringThese rules are applicable to all bets accepted by Sports Alive and are subject to change by management without notice. These rules should be read in conjuction with the ACT Rules of Sports Bookmaking.
ACCOUNTS1. You must be 18 years of age or older to hold and/or operate an account. Minors are not permitted to gamble. Transactions can not be placed on behalf of minors. 2. Accounts are individual. The individual who opens an account is solely responsible for all account obligations and entitled to all benefits. 3. You are wholly responsible for the secrecy of your account username and password, which must be quoted for all account access. You should make every effort to prevent unauthorized use or knowledge of your username and password as any transactions entered into where both the account holder’s username and password have been given shall stand as legitimate transactions. 4. In the interests of all parties, the ACT Government records all account transactions. If a dispute cannot be satisfactorily settled between Sports Alive and the customer, the matter shall be referred to the ACT Gambling and Racing Commission for arbitration. Disputes should be lodged within twenty eight days of the date of the transaction in question. 5. Australian customers - you can withdraw funds from your account once every seven days at no cost. Subsequent withdrawals within the seven day period may incur transactional and administrative fees. Overseas customers - you can withdraw funds from your account once every seven days at no cost via Neteller or Money Bookers. All other other international withdrawals may incur bank fees. Subsequent withdrawals within the seven day period may incur transactional and administrative fees. Transactional fees may be passed on directly from the bank. Administrative fees on withdrawals will not exceed 10% of the individual transactions. Sports Alive reserves the right to adjust these fees at any time. 6. If your account is funded by credit card, a Credit Card Authority Form must be completed and submitted with the specified documentation. Funds cannot be withdrawn from your Sports Alive account prior to these items being satisfactorily received by Sports Alive. 7. In accordance with Government legislation (AUSTRAC AML/CTF requirements) each client is required to have their identity verified. Client verification is achieved by matching the account information provided with the VeriCheck AML database managed by Veda Advantage. This is in accordance with the Sports Alive Privacy Policy. Clients who are unable to be verified through this process (including all non-Australian clients) will be required to provide 100 points of identification. This may consist of scans/copies of the following: This process is required to ensure the clients identity can be verified, and the proof of age and AML/CTF requirements are met. Sports Alive accounts must be verified prior to making your first withdrawal or within ninety days of opening your Sports Alive account. In some circumstances, Sports Alive may require further information to be provided in order to satisfy its obligations under the AML/CTF regulations. Credit card deposits: Customers who deposit using a Visa or Mastercard must submit a legible copy of both the front and the back of the credit card used to fund the account. This must be accompanied by a signed copy of the Credit Card Authority form, which can be downloaded by clicking here. This process must be completed for each credit card used to fund your account. The copies must clearly show the first 6 and last 4 digits on the card. Other digits including the CVV can be obscured. 8. Internet Gambling may be illegal in the jurisdiction in which you are located; if so, you are not authorised to use a Sports Alive account for any type of transaction (including the depositing of funds) that may be deemed illegal in your jurisdiction. 9. It is the responsibility of the account holder to know the laws concerning online gambling within their country of domicile WAGERING1. No wager stands until the operator has called the bet back to you and confirmed that the bet is on(telephone) or the confirmation ticket is viewed (Internet). 2. Please ensure your bet is correct prior to confirmation. Once placed, no wager may be altered or cancelled by the client. 3. In the event the dividend/price of any type of bet, including, but not limited to, multiple, index, line or any other bet type is miscalculated through human error or electronic malfunction, you accept that the dividend will be recalculated if necessary and/or adjusted to the correct odds accordingly. In the event that agreement cannot be reached between Sports Alive and you, the customer, before the commencement of the event you accept that the bet will be cancelled. 4. Except in the case of live (in the run) wagering, Sports Alive reserves the right to cancel wagers entered after the start time of an event. 5. When betting by phone, you must ensure your wager is clearly identifiable and not ambiguous (e.g. New York may be Giants, Jets etc.). 6. In the event of a match/event being suspended or having an early conclusion of play, the result will be paid out on the official result declared at the conclusion of the match by the sporting body in control of that sport. 7. Dead Heat Rule: if the result of a sports betting event is declared with joint winners or place-getters, and a tie/draw is not a form of bet offered in relation to the relevant sports bookmaking market, the revised dividend payable (unless otherwise agreed in the individual market rules) will be calculated by the following method: 8. Should Sports Alive decide to waive one or more of these rules in the interest of fair play to a customer, this will not set any precedent for the future and all subsequent bets will be settled in accordance with the rules in operation at the time of acceptance. 2. If a bet is placed on a related contingency, the bet may be refunded at the discretion of Sports Alive. By way of example, a related contingency is any two markets that directly impact each other eg: Essendon to Win a match into Essendon to make the Final 8 could not be placed as each leg impacts on the other. 4. Sports Alive shall not, except as otherwise provided by these rules or required by law, be liable for any loss or damage suffered or claimed to have been suffered by any customer as a result of or in any way arising from any of the following:
